I poopy

Mommy reminded me about this after I wrote yesterday's post about Andy and his wonderful line. A person she used to work with came up to the boys as we were living and said hey guys give me 5. Samuel shyed away but Andy came running up to him. The guy got excited and put out his hand and then asked how are you, so Andy stopped turned around and put his hand in his diaper and excitedly yelled "I poopy!" The guy quickly withdrew his hand and said maybe later.

Another time, we had gotten the boys ready to go somewhere and the boys were excited to leave so mommy asked if everyone was ready and Samuel quickly replied "We are jsut waiting on you mommy."

Mommy Gets Award

I forgot to write this last Thursday so I am writing it now. On Wednesday, I got the boys ready and we all went out to the Asher's Day Care Orientation so that we can put him in there when I teach my classes. After a long and boring hour of that we headed over to the main administration building to pick up some papers for Samuel so that we can bring his food to Day Care because of his allergies and they had some more forms for Andy as well.

Then from there we headed to the hospital. I had told the boys if they were good at the other 2 we would get an apple for them. As normal they were little boys acting like big boys, so I was going to get them an apple anyway but the little booth had just closed when we got there. So I went to get my blood tested because my last blood test I had gotten at the beginning of December some how got messed up. Anyway the boys always wants a number out of the machines because they want to be like Daddio and while I was talking to the lady Samuel reached up, could not see what he was doing, but managed to press the button and get 2 numbers. They are getting so big.

Anyway while giving blood Andy wanted to get his blood tested to so when she was finished poking and draining me I set Andy up there and acted like I was taking his. For some reason this boys loves shots. From hear we moved down to the Pharmacy in the basement of the Hospital to pick up my medication that was ordered Dec 12. A nice story in itself, the doctor ordered it went to the main pharmacy and they were out so they sent me to the pharmacy at the PX, but since I had the boys I could not make it. So a week later we went there and they said they did not have it and that it was in the basement Pharmacy but this was right before the exidus and it would be closed for 2 weeks. So on Wednesday we went there and they did not have it. They checked the logs and it was filled but out of the 4 pharmacies on post they did not know where it was. During this time the boys, getting tired and Asher hungry, were actually acting pretty good. All in all they could not find it and said they would have it for me by tomorrow. It was now almost 3, the boys were tired and I had no bottle for Asher since I did not think the orientation was going to be an hour and the pharmacy 30 minutes.

Mommy had her award ceremony at 3 but I did not know where so I zoomed home got Ashers bottle and called but got no answer, a few minutes later she called back and when I asked where it was going to be she informed me it was on Thursday not Wednesday. :o)

Now the Award:
So mommies old work was giving her an award for her great work there, so on thursday we went there. Samuel went up with her to accept the award and Andy wanted to go as well, so half way through it he went dashing across the room at her while I was calming Asher. So she picked him up as well and had 2 boys in her arms for half the presentation. The presenter smiled and said don't worry I know how it is because I have 5 children myself. Mommy got an award for her amazing work that she did for the 2 years she was there, and greatly deserved it.

The boys were so excited because mommy was having a party but on our way out they asked why Cole, Samuel's best friend was not at mommies party. :o)

Quite

So Saturday was a very quite day for me. Mommy left that morning to go to Springfield with the boys to give me a break. It was so quite I did not know what to do. Having a break every now and then is always good.

They went to the Children's museum and had a blast, they played with the little cars that teach friction on a long ramp with loose and tight wheels you can take off and add. Samuel got so excited about this area he asked mommy if he could go play with the cars and when she said sure he turned around in a full sprint right into the stair case railing so he now has a nice big round brouse on his forehead. Anyway they spent a whole hour just at the cars, and 4 hours at the museum.

Once done here they went to Applebee's and the boys had their favorite, Chicken Strips and French Fries. But this time for some reason Samuel's had allergies on them and he broke out and face started to swell up. But for some reason Andy's did not have allergies on them, Samuel ended up eating Andy's with him.

Oops and AA

For some reason it looks like some of my posts did not go through the past week. I apologize for it and do not know why.

Anyway on the topic you all want to know about, Andy and Allergies. Since Samuel has had allergies all his life we shielded Andy from everything that Samuel had, and in July we had him tested and found out he was allergic to most everything. Anyway the past month he has been wanting to eat things that are allergies but he does not understand why he cannot eat them other than Mommy and Daddio says so. So today to help him understand why he and Samuel do not eat those things after telling them my ice cream was allergies and it would make him sick he still wanted it an d was so upset that he could not have any so I gave him a little of mine so that he could learn why they do not eat allergies. Well his hands are now forming bumps and around his mouth, just waiting to see if he throws up. Anyway some may think this is mean but he has to learn why. The whole time Samuel was yelling, "No Andy do not eat it, it will make you sick! No Andy No!" So the whole time Andy was crying because Samuel was telling him not to eat it and I was giving him some.

Hopefully this little controled lesson will help him understand why and will help keep him away from allergies.

Asher Does it

So yesterday was a pretty hectic day having to go to a ton of different things to get Asher properly enrolled in the CDC (yes he is a Contagious Disease :o) Here they love using acronyms so that stands for Child Development Center. We also had to do a few things for Samuel and Andy's allergies at another building, drop some books off, register Asher for health care, and pick up my medication that was suppose to be filled right before the holidays (a whole other story in itself). Anyway in the rush I left Asher's bottle at home so when we finally got home he was very hungry. I asked Samuel if he could feed him for me while I get everything unloaded, and Andy ready for a nap. So the big boy he is helped feed Asher.

A few minutes after feeding Samuel was yelling "Daddio come here Daddio come here" rushing to the urgent yell thinking maybe He was dropping Asher like everyone keeps telling me he will do (which he has not thank you). When I got there Samuel all excitedly said "Look Daddio Asher is feeding himself" and sure enough Asher had grabbed the bottle away from Samuel and was feeding himself. Last night Mommy gave him his bottle while she washed the other boys and I wrote the last post :o) and he again fed himself. They all are growing up and becoming big boys.

Andy last week learned how to get out of his cage that is 4 feet off the ground. :o) One morning Samuel woke me up and Mommy was fixing their breakfast, I was feeding Asher and all the sudden Andy ran across the hall and to the kitchen. Mommy asked if I had gotten him out and I had thought she had, to find out Andy has figured out how to climb out of his.

Andy agrees with Anndea

Tonight (5 minutes ago) Mommy asked me if I could shake the bottle for her, so I did and the water was stinking hot (yeah it really smelt :o). Anyway I am pretty sensitive to hot water so it kind of burnt. I then replied that you do not warm bottles up in super hot water a she replied, "who says that." Swiftly I replied "the experts," and she asked "what experts." So since I have 3 boys I happily replied "ME."

Now with this I think I bit my own toe or whatever that saying is because she laughed and said "the same expert that falls asleep while warming bottles for Andy?" Shocked I replied I never did that (which probably I did since his typical night was waking up 6 times). So since Andy's favorite word is no I decided to ask him if I fell asleep while warming his bottle in lukewarm water, and with a smile on his face he answered "Yeah!"

I whispered to him to say no and asked again but got a happy "yeah!" Again asked him to say no but got a "Yeah Daddio" Finally I said "Andy you are suppose to say no so say no daddio" He whispered back OK and I asked the question one last time "Andy did I fall asleep while warming your bottles?" Looking right at me he replied "Yeah Daddia yeah"

Asher and the Truck

So yesterday it was just Asher and I for a while so I was able to give him more attention than just every now and then. We played and played and played. When Mommy came home she asked what we did and I said played all day but you could tell she really did not believe me but a little later he had gotten really fussy and she could not figure out why because he had woken up only 3 hours earlier (he only takes 2 naps a day now). Well a few minutes later he started yawning really big so she put him down and he slept for a very long time. She was amazed at how much I wore him out. :o)

One of the things we did was play with the blue Tonka truck that Aunt B got Samuel a while back, he loved pushing it, well swinging his arm at it at least. So I helped him out and got his arm firmly positioned on it so he could move it around and the truck would talk. He had so much fun with it after his nap I just stuck it in front of him while he sat in the blue bouncy seat and he had a blast just staring at it. When Samuel saw this he got upset and came and took the truck away and informed us that Aunt B had got the truck for him not Asher, but then he decided to share.

Just now Samuel was in his room and yelled "Hey Rusty come here" Mommy went in because she was closer and Samuel quickly replied "No Mommy I want Daddio."

Andy on the Potty

So Andy is growing up too. Lately when he needs to go poopy he goes up to me and says Daddio I poopy and grabs my hand and pulls me to the bathroom, typically I get him on the toilet but he never goes. About 2 minutes after I get him in a new diaper he poops in it. But at least he is trying. I think he just does not know how to poop sitting down because the other day I had him stand over the toilet and he mannaged to poop in it but that was rediculously hard to do and pretty messy so I do not think we will do that again.

Anyway 2 days ago when Mommy was bathing the boys when Andy started acting funny. Mommy asked if he needed to go pee pee and he said "Yaaaaaaaehhhhhhhh." So with one swift move she quickly and with ease swung him from the tub to the toilet and he pee peed. The boy is excited about using the toilet and is about a year earlier than Samuel, but I think it is because he wants to be like his big brother.

Samuel growing up

So yesterday Samuel has started to become a big boy. For the past month or so I have been having problems getting him to take a nap, but lately he has been good and been going and laying in his bed for about 30 to 45 minutes then coming out and telling me he just took a nap for 20 hours. :o)

Anyway Anndea and I decided since hie is almost 4 that he can start doing other things during nap time. So yesterday I moved Mommies computer that she has not used for a year ( :o) into the living room and installed some learning games and activities on it for him. I am also organizing all the learning material we have gotten over the years so that Samuel and have a short hour or 2 of "school" with me while the other 2 sleep.

Yesterday, while setting this up, Samuel help Mommy out side raking leaves. Below are a few pictures of him and even a few he took. Enjoy.Photo by Samuel V. Jordan

Happy New Year

So my boys got to stay up til 2 AM today, while my friend Tim and I debated if a database can really make a difference if used properly. A great 2 AM talk.

Anyway I do not right a list of future failures day on New Years, instead when I feel like I need to change something I start working on it then so that i do not have a list of 10 things to do that will all together drastically change they way I have to interact with everything in my life. With that said it just happens that today I decided I best start posting more often in my blog before my mother-in-law comes to visit again. :o) For some reason her and my mother as well as many others love reading my blog and still check it daily even thought I have not updated it in a long time. So starting today I will be focusing up updating it daily. I will also make sure my wife is not sitting by me when I type like she is now. She will make a great grammar and spelling teacher for all ages, I guess that is why the Army put her AG.

So this morning we left Samuel at Tim and Sharon's house after the new years and Andy came home with us. For some reason life has been much calmer these last 10 hours. Andy (Wife corrected me again), though always wants to do what we do and follow in our footsteps decided today he was going to wear her (wife trying to correct spelling here) long boots. When he put them on, well I will just let you see the picture for yourself.
