Once there was a cow,
But he did not know how to plow.
He ate all the hay,
Before it was even May.
The farmer got very mad,
And it made the cow very sad.
So he tried and pulled,
He puffed and stulled,
But nowhere he went,
And the plow didn’t even make a dent.
Ashamed he was,
Because he couldn’t pull a plow like his cus.
The farmer saw all the work that the cow tried to do,
And he knew that to do the work, you have to have two.
So he got Betsy and put her with the cow.
Together they started to pull the plow.
They did half the field then the rest,
And the other cows noticed that they were the best.
The cow was proud of himself and had a lot of fun,
When he noticed all the work that he and Betsy had done.
